The Algarve

I stayed on an Avacado farm

When the trees are mature they will produce around 400 avocados each year

I took a boat trip to see the cliffs

And the caves

I met some long lost distant relatives (Sarah is my Great Uncle Graham’s cousin)

Their two lovely children now call me ‘Aunty Alex’

I stayed with them for a couple of nights

They have a great view of Monchique and amazing sunsets

The children took me exploring the smugglers tunnels – you can walk all the way under the cliff from one beach to another

I swam in their pool

Went on a clifftop walk with Sarah and her friends

And revisited the amazing Bengil cave, this time by swimming rather than boat

A great way to end my wonderful journey though Portugal

Next stop Seville, Spain
