Santilliana del Mar is a tiny historic town in the Cantabria region of Spain. It is known as the city of three lies because it’s not ‘holy'(santa), it isn’t ‘flat'(llano) and it’s not by the ‘sea'(mar) as the name suggests.
Some of it’s buildings date back to the 8th Century

The church above is a Romanesque Monument and is visited by pilgrims on their way to Santiago De Compostela.
I parked next to this lovely family who very kindly took me out for dinner

They are spending 3 months travelling round Spain in their van. What an amazing adventure! The children already have such good stories from their travels.
