Honfleur was my first proper stop in France, on my route down to Spain, and it did not disappoint.

I loved getting lost in the narrow streets and admiring the old French architecture.
I was parked a 5 minute cycle from the beautiful centre, on the banks of the river, in what used to be the old bus station. There were a few other vans there with me. We all got treated to this sunset

I had no idea that it was Bastille Day in France. A holiday which commemorates the storming the of the Bastille, a fortress used to hold political prisoners, in 1789 and is considered the beginning of the French revolution.
So not only was there a lovely sunset but also a firework display above the big wheel. All of which I could watch from the comfort of my tiny home.
