After 2 cancelled flights and a lot of stress my mum made it to Morocco by sneaking in through Ireland
We slept well in the van at Marrakech airport and woke to nice bright sunshine
We drove west, back towards the coast
Stopping at a quirky cafe
And admiring the goats in trees (they climb up to eat the argan nuts)
I got stopped by the police who claimed I was speeding and wanted to give me a 150dhm fine. I haggled and got it down to 100dhm (the equivalent of £8), which was paid cash in hand. It was all very cheerful and friendly.
We finally made it to the coast
The next day we went into the old walled medina of Essaouira
And enjoyed browsing and shopping
We ate lunch here
And visited an art gallery inside a beautifully renovated Riad
